Bittu (25), son of a cable TV operator, was shot dead in the Lodhi Vihar area of Sasni Gate area of Aligarh metropolis on March 5 evening in a drama that has been going on for the last several months. The firing created a stampede at the spot. During this time, people caught three attackers and handed them over to the police.
Bittu was the son of Bhura Pandit, a cable TV operator living in Lodhi Vihar. One of his three sons, Bittu alias Vikas, also helped his father in business. Late in the evening, he was standing about 50-60 steps away from the house with some of his friends. Then the youth of the attacking party reached there riding on two vehicles. A fight broke out between the two sides and youths from the other side opened fire with pistols. Out of the four rounds fired, two bullets hit Bittu’s stomach and chest, while two were fired in the air.
Bittu fell down after being shot and the attackers started running away. Bittu’s friends and people of the locality caught the three youths who were running away on the spot. The area police also reached the information. Bittu was brought to the district hospital, where he was declared dead. The three youths who were caught were brought to the police station. On hearing this news, many friends and colleagues reached Bittu’s family. Field unit including SP City, CO First also reached.
The interrogation of detained Mayank Varshney and Shashank Yadav resident of Agra Road and Jai Tomar resident of ITI Road is going on. It is coming to light that the murder took place over a dispute that took place four-five days ago. CO First Abhay Pandey says that investigation and inquiry is going on. According to the complaint received, action will be taken on the basis of the case.
